Rates

Backcountry Camping Fee: $10.00 per person / night for persons 16 years of age and older (includes tax)
Backcountry Camping Fee: $5.00 per child / night for children 6 - 15 years of age (includes tax)
Children 5 years and under – no charge for camping

Mount Shark Flight: $155.00 per person, one way, plus 5% tax
Canmore Flight: $175.00 per person one way, plus 5% tax
Excess Baggage Fee: $2.25 per pound, per flight (includes tax)
Flying Gear Only: $2.25 per pound, one way (includes tax)

Payment Terms

  • Rates are in Canadian dollars.
  • Reservations cannot be made for campgrounds. Self-registration and payment by cash only at Magog and Og campgrounds.  There is no registration or camping fees for the Porcupine Campground. The group campground at O'Brien Meadows must be pre-booked through the Assiniboine Lodge office. 
  • Camping payment can be made in advance of trip departure through BC Parks online. If you book online, bring a copy with you for proof of payment.
  • Rates are subject to any increases in tax implemented by the Provincial and/or Federal governments.

Helicopter Policy

  • Helicopter flights are restricted and advanced reservations are required to confirm your seat. 
  • Arrangement must be made beforehand for flying gear only. 
  • There is limited availability to book outgoing flights at Assiniboine.  Flights are available on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
  • The luggage restriction is 40 pounds per person. Excess luggage will incur the excess baggage fee.
  • Helicopter flights for children under 2 years of age are free, provided they ride on an adult’s lap.
  • Assiniboine Lodge reserves the right to apply a helicopter fuel surcharge if fuel prices increase.

Helicopter Cancellation Policy

  • Helicopter flights cancelled more than 48 hours prior to departure are subject to a $20.00 per person non-refundable fee.  
  • Helicopter flight cancelled less than 48 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
  • Assiniboine Lodge is not responsible for delays or cancellations due to poor access conditions.

Cancelled Helicopter Flights due to Weather Conditions

  • Cancelled helicopter flights, due to poor weather conditions, are extremely rare.
  • Assiniboine Lodge is not responsible for consequences of cancelled helicopter flights.  We strongly recommend travel insurance.
  • There is no refund for the lost night of accommodation at Assiniboine for delayed incoming visitors.
  • Delayed outgoing visitors are not required to pay for the additional night’s stay.
  • Assiniboine Lodge is not responsible for the additional cost of accommodation incurred for delayed incoming visitors.
  • Assiniboine Lodge is not responsible for missed travel for delayed departing visitors.
  • When weather conditions allow, helicopter flights will resume the following day.
