IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE VERDANT CREEK WILDFIRE CLOSURE

Effective immediately 08:00 am, August 16 the south core of Assiniboine Provincial Park is open. Assiniboine Lodge will resume regular operations on Friday, August 18.

SOME TRAIL CLOSURES REMAIN IN EFFECT

Sunshine via Citadel Pass to Assiniboine: CLOSED

Ferro Pass and Mitchell valley to Assiniboine: CLOSED

Mt Shark via Bryant Creek and Assiniboine Pass to Assiniboine: OPEN

Mt Shark via Bryant Creek and Wonder Pass to Assiniboine: OPEN

Note: The Allenby Pass seasonal trail restriction and Upper Bryant Creek trail closure from August 1st to September 30th remains in effect.

Banff National Park have closed the trail via Citadel Pass to Sunshine for public safety reasons. The only hiking access to Assiniboine Provincial Park is via Mt Shark/ Bryant Creek (both Assiniboine Pass and Wonder Pass are open).

Magog and Og Campgrounds are OPEN, but everything north of Og Lake is closed for public safety. The fire burning at Verdant Creek is producing smoke in the park. Check our webcam for current conditions.
