Ski In / Ski Out Conditions:

Please be aware of avalanche conditions in the Back Country. Avalanche Canada has posted that snowpack conditions are considerably dangerous right now with several skier triggered avalanches in Kananaskis Country near Mt Shark in the last 24hours, resulting in one fatality. “Careful route selection and intimate understanding of the snowpack is essential for safe travel. Another approach is to avoid or limit your exposure to avalanche terrain altogether”. Please click here for Avalanche Canada’s Danger Rating.

The trail from Mt Shark to Mt Assiniboine is covered in 50-65cm of snow and has not been broken since March 1-3 snowstorm. On top of that snow, we have received 15cm of fresh snow overnight.

It is likely that only the route from Mount Shark day use to the Spray River Bridge has been trail broken but the rest of the route up Assiniboine Pass is unbroken.
