Mount Assiniboine Lodge: Guest Cabins

Capacity:  Winter capacity is 12 guests, summer is 30 guests. Both seasons with 2-5 people per cabin.

SleepingOur cabin configurations are as follows:

Nub Cabin – 1 double bed, 1 single bed, single bunk beds (sleeps 5 people based on 2 people sharing the double bed).

Strom Cabin– 1 double bed, 1 single bed, single bunk beds (sleeps 5 people based on 2 people sharing the double bed).

Magog, Terrapin and Towers Cabins – 1 double bed and 2 single beds (sleeps 4 people based on 2 people sharing the double bed).

Assiniboine Cabin – 1 double bed, 1 single bed (sleeps 3 people based on 2 people sharing the double bed).

Cautley Cabin – 1 queen bed, 1 single bed (sleeps 3 people based on 2 people sharing the queen bed).

Meals: All meals and afternoon tea included. Lunch is not provided on arrival day.

Guiding: Full day guided Hiking or full and half-day guided Skiing is included.  

Toilets:  Indoor toilet available only in the lodge.  No indoor toilets in the cabins. Outhouses within 100 meters of each cabin.

Showers and sauna: Communal sauna and shower house.

Winter water: No running water. Warm washing water delivered each morning.

Summer water: Vanity with cold running water. Warm washing water delivered each morning.

Heating: Propane heater controlled by a thermostat.

Lighting: Propane lights.

Six historic one-bedroom log cabins and one newly built cabin are scattered among the larch trees and meadows. Every cabin has a slightly different sleeping configuration and they can be rented as private cabins for two or shared with up to five people. All furniture is handmade and beds feature cozy goose down duvets. Postcard views from every window and porch.

Hiking and skiing builds up an appetite. Breakfast features homemade granola and yoghurt, whole grain hot cereal, fruit salad, and a chef's choice plated hot breakfast. Pack your own picnic lunch just how you like it (all spread out following breakfast). Head out into the hills with our hiking and skiing guides on trips adjusted for all levels. Put your feet up and expand the belly a little more at afternoon tea. Savour a three-course dinner and selection of wine and beer (extra cost) in our historic dining room.

Enjoy the night sky as never before on the short stroll from the lodge or on a nightly outhouse mission. The bath house has plenty of hot water for showers.  A roll in the snow after a sauna is a perfect way to finish a day in the mountains.
