Mount Assiniboine Lodge: Rates

WINTER 2026-2031: Closed

A letter from Claude and Andre...

Hello from Mount Assiniboine Lodge,

Skiing with you for the last 13 years has been incredible, we had many good turns and spectacular scenery while sharing time together at Mount Assiniboine Lodge, the oldest and most classic back country lodge anywhere!

Most of you are also aware of our struggles over the years running the business during the winter. After a long and hard look at our business, we have decided to close the winter operation at the lodge as of Winter 2026 and onward. We didn’t take this decision lightly as we love skiing and hosting you in the winter.

Claude and Andre will be there to keep the Naiset huts open during the winter season.

Our Summer operation of Mount Assiniboine Lodge will remain open as usual going forward.

We would like to thank everyone for your support for the last many years, we truly enjoyed skiing and hosting you.

Sincerely,

Andre and Claude

A Note About Dietary and Medical Concerns:

We are a remote backcountry lodge and an emergency evacuation could take up to 48 hours due to poor weather conditions and inability to fly at night.  Please consider this before planning a trip to our lodge.  We will make an effort to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, but as our kitchen regularly cooks with wheat flour and nuts we are not able to guarantee that food will be free of these or other allergens.

Due to the high number of special dietary requests and only one chef on staff, your restriction(s) may be grouped in with other restrictions.  For example, if you can't eat red meat, you may be given a vegan option.  You will be asked to eat around your restrictions when there are other options available.

We ask that guests bring their own bread and baking (cookies, granola bars, etc.) if your diet restrictions/allergens are commonly found in these items.  This is the best way to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Please do not include preferences when asked about dietary restrictions, as it makes it harder for us to give proper attention to guests with allergies.

If you require a CPAP machine, please make sure it is battery operated.
