All camping inquires for Mount Assiniboine Park must be made through www.bcparks.ca/reserve. Camping reservations are available on a 4-month booking window for Lake Magog, Og Lake and Porcupine campgrounds. Lake Magog and Og Lake campgrounds are only serviced during the lodge operational summer season June 21-Sept 30, 2024. No lodge services are available to campers outside of our operational season.

All camping inquires for sites in Banff National Park can be made by calling 1-877-RESERVE (737-3783). Please do not call the Assiniboine Lodge Office with camping inquires, we are unable to help you plan your camping trip. We recommend purchasing the Gemtrek Banff & Mount Assiniboine Map.
There are approximately 85 wilderness, walk-in campsites in Assiniboine Provincial Park. The sites are in very high demand and sell out most nights in the summer season.
*Campers are responsible for their own safety and must bring their own hand sanitizer and cleaning/sanitizing products to protect themselves.
General Changes Affecting all Campers (and Hut Users).

Campers and Hut Users who have booked a seat on a flight into the park are only allowed to fly with 40lbs of efficiently packed luggage. Anything over this amount will be charged $10/pound.

Assiniboine Lodge will be providing our afternoon tea service from 4-5 pm on non-helicopter days of Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (Sunday instead of Monday on long weekends). Tea, cake, beer and wine will be available for purchase, please bring cash. Tea will be served outside in front of the lodge. Campers and Hut Users must be self sufficient and all questions when in the park can be directed towards the Park Custodian who visits the campground each evening. The Custodian is also available at afternoon tea.

Reservations for Og Lake, Lake Magog and Porcupine campgrounds can be made up 4 months in advance via at www.bcparks.ca/reserve. Park periphery campgrounds and rustic cabins (Surprise Creek cabin/campground, Mitchell Meadows Campground, Mitchell River Cabin and Police Meadows Cabin) will remain available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no associated registration, reservation or camping fees.
Bring a copy of your online reservation with you for proof of payment as Park Custodians will be checking documentation.
Prior to June 21 and after September 30 there are self-registration stations at the Lake Magog, Og Lake and Porcupine campgrounds where payment can be made with cash. Payment can be made in advance of trip departure through BC Parks online. A group campsite can be prebooked at O’Brien meadows for groups of 15 - 25 people (contact the Assiniboine Lodge reservations office).
Backcountry Camping Fee: $10.00 per person / night (persons 16 years of age and older), plus online booking fee.

Helicopter flight reservations for campers staying at Lake Magog and Og Lake Campgrounds may be made online through this website once your campground reservation has been secured with BC Parks. You will be asked to provide your campground reservation confirmation number at the time of booking.
