Sandy is known as the voice of Assiniboine Lodge! She has been invaluable as our Reservations Manager since 1996. Sandy knows the details of the Assiniboine Lodge and Naiset Huts operations inside-out. Working from our Canmore office, she is happy to help you book and plan your trip to Assiniboine.
After finishing high school in Calgary, she ventured north to Edmonton to attend NAIT. Soon after graduating, Sandy came to Banff for a ski week at Sunshine Village. She fell in love with mountain life and has lived and worked in the Banff /Canmore area ever since. She first worked at Sunshine Village, then Moraine Lake and later Brewster Transport at Chateau Lake Louise. She met her husband, Scott, at the Chateau Lake Louise.
For more than 10 years, Sandy was the Reservations and Operations Manager at Brewster Transport in Banff until she joined the Barb & Sepp Renner and the Assiniboine Lodge team in 1996. For the first 16 years the Assiniboine office was in Sandy’s home allowing her to work from home while raising her children, Jessica and Michael, as they were growing up.
Sandy’s love affair with the mountains and hiking continues today. When she’s not working you will see Sandy at a local gym taking interval training or spin classes or find her out hiking the many trails in the Canmore and Banff area.
